Join us for ‘Every room has it's own story’! Every second and fourth Sunday of the month, between 1.00 pm and 3.30 pm, come and listen to a short and inspiring story in one of the exhibition rooms at the Frans Hals Museum. In just fifteen minutes, you’ll learn more about the artworks and the artists. Together with the tour guide, you’ll see these artworks in a new light and discover more.

Indonesia and the Netherlands

In this gallery, you can see and hear stories about artists or subjects who had a connection with Indonesia and the Netherlands. For some 350 years, Indonesia was a Dutch colony, then known as the Dutch East Indies. The history and culture of both countries are closely intertwined.

Practical information

‘Every room has it's own story’ takes place on Sundays 27 September and 11 October. The tour starts every half hour and on the hour between 1.00 pm and 3.30 pm and is free to join as part of your visit to the Frans Hals Museum.
