Portrait of a Man (c. 1635)
The painting Portrait of a Man (c. 1635) by Frans Hals, from the collection of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, is currently undergoing thorough restoration. The restoration is being led by conservator Bea Lorente. Thanks to this work, both the colours and Frans Hals’s painting technique are once again much more clearly visible.
This treatment is taking place in preparation for the exhibition Hals-Rembrandt, which will be on display at the Frans Hals Museum in the autumn of 2026.
